Bring the Outdoors In this Spring

The warmer weather is (finally!) here in Sun Valley and I couldn’t be more ready. After a few surprise spring snow storms, I think it’s safe to say that we may be officially gearing up for summer.

With the trees turning green and flowers blooming, this time of year is always one of my favorites. There’s a certain energy and lightness that comes with spring in the mountains. Especially after being so cooped up for the past few weeks, it’s a nice change of pace to get some sun and enjoy the outdoors.

Looking for ways to bring a little bit of nature into your home this season? Here are some of my favorite items from the shop.

1. Indoor Planters

Indoor planters are a great way to add a touch of color to any space. These Natural Wood Planters come in a set of two and feature a modern metal stand and natural wood finish. They’re also the perfect size—small enough to fit inside built-in shelving or sit freely on a desk or counter. Especially with so much time spent working from home lately, I feel like the added touch of greenery really helps brighten up my workspace.

If you’re looking for a more abstract design, you can’t go wrong with our Jack Planter. The cement base is complemented by a geometric metal cage, adding a more modern touch. You can make a statement with just one or group them in an arrangement. Easily mix and match your favorite succulents or small plants.

2. Vases

Maybe you’re searching for a more versatile option, something that’s not as permanent as a planter. If that’s the case, vases are a great way to introduce fresh flowers or sprigs without the added hassle. Even though we have a few different vases available on the Shop, this Delicate Florals Vase is one of my absolute favorites. Even better? They come in three sizes!

I love the timeless look of fresh cut sunflowers for this vase. Daisies, tulips, and other bright florals also offer a great contrast against the white base. The antiqued finish makes it the perfect dining table or countertop accent, especially for a farmhouse kitchen.

3. Lanterns

Finally, if you’re looking for a way to savor that sunset “glow” that comes with life in the mountains, these Black Lanterns are perfect patio decor. There’s a certain light that settles into the valley during the summertime, fading from rich yellows and orange to deep blues, pinks, and purples. And if you’re lucky enough to enjoy these sunsets from an outdoor patio or deck, you know how special those nights can be.

These lanterns are the perfect outdoor accessory that let you enjoy late nights under the stars. Plus, the glass candle holder means you don’t have to worry about wax dripping out onto your table or deck. You can easily transport them inside and continue using them during the colder months.
